Now having seen the season openings for Survivor, American Idol and The Amazing Race it’s clear again to me which is the best reality show - The Amazing Race. TAR has won 6 straight Emmy’s and seems to have out-produced it’s competition yet again. The contestant pairings on TAR seem interesting right from the beginning whereas Survivor’s casting for their latest Survivor Tocantins seem very weak. Survivor’s opening show was their weakest ever premiere and American Idol’s now tired opening shows showcasing embarrassing contestants wasn’t helped by the addition of a lame 4th judge. It’s early but my money’s on The Amazing Race to captivate an audience and a seventh Emmy.
