The full interview:
First of all, congratulations on your “Party Of The Year”. How has your success in the music business been and what are your plans for the future? Can we look forward at all to seeing you on TV again soon?
Thanks. Party Of The Year is the single on my EP. We are working on the rest of the album as we speak/write
I am having a great time. My band and I did a mini tour around New York City after the release of the EP on iTunes, Rhapsody, Amazon, etc. The new stuff is way rockin!! We are taking a break from the shows to tighten up with our new drummer and bass player. We have plans to do a local TV show for New York, and maybe playing [at] Rocklohoma with good friends of ours, “Dirty Penny”. Rocklohoma is a huge Rock n Roll music festival. Every great rock artist is there!! I am wayyy excited about that!!! Its so great to have these guys on my side. I can bring to life the many ideas i have had since forever!
New stuff going on!!!
I [will] make an appearance on VH1’s “Daisy Of Love.” - stay tuned it should be cool!!! Also just did an awesome photo shoot with photographer Clay Patrick McBride for Guitar World Magazine, it comes out in September 2009. Also in an issue of French Magazine right now with good friends of mine “The Party Death.”
In Paris’ BFF you seemed like you were already inside the celebrity world, is that right? How did you get involved with celebs and how close are you with them? And who?
I wouldn’t say I’m in the celebrity world, just that I am close with a couple great artists. We share many similarities in terms of interests, so of course I’m gonna be friends with people like Simon, Tommy etc. I met a lot of these people when I started modeling, having access to VIP parties, you are kinda gonna meet people like that, vica versa. I’m not so un-VIP myself…
Who is “Dirt Nasty” and how do you know him?
Dirt Nasty is my boy Simon Rex!! He is awesome. We are both cancers and have an awesome relationship! I met him on new years eve in Miami 4 years ago. Have been “friends,” ever since
What is something that happened behind the scenes that people wouldn’t know about?
I was f***n pissed. Some production people had lost one of my leather jackets. LOL it all went downhill from there. My attitude totally changed on set. That’s all it takes for me. Kinda funny actually. Dont f**k with me, anyone or anything I care about; or any one of my leather jackets!!!!!!!
Something the public may also not know is how hard it was to adjust to real life after having cameras in your face 24/7. After a month of that, a lot of us didn’t know what to do with ourselves. I felt like I had gotten out of jail so my celebration lasted 4 months!!! I just went party crazy and didn’t stop!!! It was mayhem for me, it was also one of the wildest and most fun times in my life!!!
Do you still keep in touch with Paris or anyone else from the show?
Ya, I have seen her since the show wrapped. She is awesome! I kinda hang in a whole other scene though. I really doubt she will be at Rocklohoma or any other crazy s**t like that. Though, whenever I’m in the Beverly Hills/Hollywood mood I do see her.
Are you bitter towards anyone or anything that happened on the show?
Not at all bitter towards anything, except that f***n leather jacket!!!
seriously I still have dreams about it! I pretty much got along with everyone. I just didn’t like the structure of how reality TV has to work. Sleeping next to strangers, no straight hot dudes in the house, wayyy to many girls!!! After one month of being cooped up, I went nuts!!
How did being on a reality show affect your life and your music career?
Being on a reality show definitely changed some aspects of my life. It’s weird when people call out “Natasha!” - at first, it was a little strange people knowing you. Airports for some reason are big on that. I have always had attention so that only multiplied. A lot of people enjoy my style and things like that. I get loads of emails on people commenting [on] my hair especially! So many kids want me to spill the secret!!! In do time I will
Do you have any gossip for our viewers/readers that you learned while (or after) being on the show?
The show really didn’t portray who I am at all. I really think they just needed my rocker “character” on the show. I said a lot, but they totally edit s**t the way they want. I learned fast, I wasn’t going to really be interested in watching. It was a bit corny in some ways. Like the stuff that made TV was so cookie cutter… For example: i absolutely adore Onch but even he knew what kinda s**t he had to do to get their attention!! “Toothbrushes in toilets,” give me a f***n break… That is like a bad episode of Looney Tunes! I don’t find humor in corny, fake, fickle s**it like that. Where I come from s**t would get a little sexier and more dangerous than that. But what were we all supposed to do?? They had an image for the show and I, just stayed the f**k out of it!!! After Japan, I really started getting the feeling [that] I wanted out. I actually had a talk with producers and said I couldn’t do it anymore. I was in tears, wanting my own life back! It was hard but I stayed. They wanted me 4 longer… I didn’t stay much longer anyway
I got the show by chance. Some casting directors saw me eating at a diner, and they just asked me to attend. I was obviously really different from most of the people “trying” to be on the show. I kinda knew I was gonna get it. It was too easy. Producers loved all the s**t I said and how I was. They knew it would translate exactly how it did. So to answer the question of why I went on, “well, I kinda just got thrown into it. I never made videos or filled out applications.”
I am glad I did it, but glad its over. I gained many awesome fans but I wouldn’t do it again now or for another season. I made my presence known. I was in and out just how I wanted it. I only usually need a taste of things, then I get bored and move on, unless it’s totally up my ally, and that obviously was not. Of course I was going to “play” the villain in a show like that. It was like putting me on the set of “strawberry shortcake,” or “the care bears,” movie!!! One thing is for sure, I’d be the black bear with a lightning bolt on my stomach if I was on that
